Overview

The National Innovation and Start-up Policy 2019 aims to guide HEIs to foster student driven innovations & start-ups and to involve the students and faculty in innovation and start up activities on campus. India has more than 41435 HEIs with annual enrolment of 28484746 students. It is very important to achieve excellence in both quantitative and qualitative growth of education system by making it globally relevant, competitive and industry fit and simultaneously focusing on self-employment through strong emphasis on innovation, skills and entrepreneurship among students and faculty.

The global education of architecture is moving beyond the traditional approach and encouraging the students to use their unique skill-sets and abilities in entrepreneurial ways. India has become a hub for startups and this has led to a rise of many companies. The country has improved its ease-of-doing-business. The architecture and construction industry is also catching up. In recent years, there are a few architecture startups that have offered not just innovative ideas but services that have high commercial demand.

 

At BNCA, we aim to cultivate innovative thinking in and provide them with environment to start-up their own practice. At our Start-up and Innovation cell, we plan to invite mentors to encourage the right participation of industry partners for ideas that can be turned into business.
