MKSSS’s Dr. Bhanuben Nanavati College of Architecture for Women, also known as BNCA, was founded in 1994 by Mr. Avinash Wardekar and Principal Dr Anurag Kashyap with a vision of providing architectural education to girls. The college received a generous donation of Rs.90 lakhs from Late Mr. Mahendrabhai Nanavati, who was a close associate of Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Sanstha( MKSSS)- Pune. MKSSS was established in 1896 with a mission of uplifting the social, educational, financial and spiritual conditions of women and widows and making them confident and self-reliant. 

BNCA offers Bachelor of Architecture (B Arch), Master of Architecture (M Arch) and Doctorate programs (PhD) under Savitribai Phule Pune University with a dedicated Research Center. The college has an excellent infrastructure, scholarly faculty and a great legacy of empowering women through education for the last 125 years. The college aims to empower girls with the latest skills and technologies in Architecture and its facets and enable them to make their mark on the world. 

The college follows its MISSION , “Life is not only larger than Architecture” or Design but above all other Disciplines of Education put together. Our mission is to create good Architects, with a complete personality who can do justice to all aspects of Life besides developing into good human beings” and its VISION , “To be one of the best colleges of Architecture in the world, by achieving the highest standards in Architectural Education, Research and other related activities besides uplifting the socio-economic, educational and spiritual status of women”. Thus, our faculty and staff work with a zeal to prepare professional architects of highest integrity and entrepreneurial aptitude and to stand by themselves in this competitive world.
