We are delighted to look back and see how our Course has become one of the best in the country in the field of Interior Design. Our computer studio is a great asset with Fab lab, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and a Wi-Fi-enabled campus, we create an environment that nurtures the inner values and true character of a student in he of creative designs. 

We have a dream to establish an independent MKSSS’s “Art & Design Education Centre” under the leadership of Dr. Anurag Kashyap. This dream keeps us inspired. Minimum 12th pass with 50% Marks of any branch. 

/ HSC / ICS / 10+2 Diploma /or equivalent 

An aptitude test is conducted for the admissions. The entrance test paper is objective type. The candidate has to solve 100 questions in 90 minutes. Each wrong answer carries one negative mark. The final total is the addition of positive and negative marks. The paper has four sections namely English ,General Knowledge, Numerical, Logical and Graphical abilities.

The first 50 meritorious candidates are called for the interviews. A panel of 6 members interviews the candidates.

The Institute is located at Pune. It has a reputation as a leading center for research and is rated among the top institutes in India.

The Institute employs a quantitative grading system to evaluate the performance of a student. The overall percentage of marks obtained by a student during the course [Eight terms] is graded as follows

The minimum marks required for passing are 50% aggregate

 

ASSESSMENT

  • The candidate’s work is assessed periodically in the form of exercises, assignments and projects.
  • The candidates have viva at the end of the each term.
  • The candidate has to present her design work to the panel of internal jury at the time of submission for assessment.
  • The candidate has to present her term work to panel of external jury for final assessment of the term work.

The final marks for the term shall consist of progressive marking, internal juries, viva and external juries.

 

NOTE

  1. Course duration
    1. Each lecture or sessional period is of 45 minutes duration.
    2. Each working day has 8 periods
    3. Each week has five working days.
    4. Each term is of 20 weeks duration. There are 7 such academic terms in the whole course
  2. Unlike most Interior design courses in India, the course designed by the institute is very demanding. The number of students securing a first-class with distinction or first-class is very low. Even a second class is commendable.
